So many of us have a weak spot for a botanical. And it would appear Stella McCartney is no exception. She’s splashed tropical flowers, oranges and grapefruits, and ferns over various dresses for various collections. And if you think of her scents, each one centres around a bloom.
So, what’s new in scent you say? True, true – a scent without flowers is like bread without butter. But see these – three limited edition purse sprays of Stella’s original rose steeped fragrance, printed with what looks like early 19th century botanical illustrations. A fresh, new take on a scent bottle. Love ‘em.
The scent itself smells as fresh and lovely as it did when first I became addicted – and with a prettily flower-imprinted collector’s bottle to boot.
My favourite? The purple lily print complete with nectar-popping bumble bee. But hurry, I don’t think they’re going to be around for long… Find them at Boots. £35 a pop.
