Style’s doing this clever thing on their site where you can upload a picture of yourself in all your slap ‘n tickl’lip glory. All you have to do is email your photo to beauty@sunday-times.co.uk. Apparently there’s a goodie bag in it for the best made-up lovelies. Come on girls… Let’s see what this country is made (up) of. x
I’ve just spend a fabulous fortnight in Cambodia. Angkor Wat at sunrise, floating markets at sunset, tuk tuk drivers with broad, Cheshire Cat smiles, succulent Khmer curries. It’s a damaged country, but its pulling through, head held high. Oh, and sunshine and heat – 37 degrees.
From the sublime to the darned right freezing back in London. Heat and mood plummet quicker than a gecko hop. But not for long.
On goes the computer. Eyes scan the inbox. My temper switches from bleary-eyed anticlimax to one whooping with delight as I read that I’ve won a P&G Beauty & Grooming Award 2009 – Best Beauty Journalist of a National or Supplement for a piece I wrote for Sunday Times Style. Thank you P&G, thank you Style.
