Truly Miraculous? Garnier Miracle Skin Cream
Garnier Miracle Skin Cream
This is essentially a tinted moisturiser or BB cream. It has an SPF20, contains anti-ageing ingredients and gives a hint of coverage. What’s different is how it goes on and its ingredient line-up.
Miracle Skin Cream looks white, but as you smooth it over your skin micro-pigments burst to reveal a honey-ish beige, sheer-foundation-like tint. At first you’d think it was best for those with a slight tan or golden skin tone. But smooth it in thoroughly and it blends with a pale to medium skin tone. Skin looks fresh, hydrated and more even toned. If you have high colour, it probably won’t give you the level of coverage you want (try as an undercoat and blend out redness with your own trusted foundation). But for those who wear BB cream or tinted moisturiser, this is a good choice for summer.
It also includes an array of anti-ageing skincare ingredient staples. It has a form of vitamin C, which is a known collagen booster; it has peptides used for their firming benefit and it has pro-retinol (this is Garnier’s version of retinol), which helps boost skin renewal and collagen production.
It’s very slightly tacky, which is the SPF at work. A small price to pay for protecting skin on a daily basis. If this bothers you, dust or press a sheer or colourless powder over the top. MAC Blot Pressed Powder is a make-up artist staple.
